Urumwe Cottage is one of two charming neighboring cottages nestled in the serene heart of Mida Forest, just steps from the tranquil edge of the mangroves. This peaceful setting offers a unique opportunity to enjoy nature’s beauty while being close to coastal attractions.

A spacious covered verandah extends along the length of the house, offering a perfect vantage point to relax and enjoy views of the private pool and walled garden. This outdoor space provides an ideal setting for both entertaining and tranquil living with a dining space, cosy seating and a bar, all overlooking the pool.

Inside, you'll find an open-plan kitchen featuring a breakfast bar, complemented by a cozy living/seating area—creating a warm and inviting space perfect for both cooking and casual gatherings.

The two bedrooms are thoughtfully positioned on either side of the living area for added privacy. One is a spacious double room, while the other is a comfortable twin room. Both feature mosquito nets, ceiling fans, and ensuite shower bathrooms, ensuring comfort and convenience throughout.

The property is equipped with reliable Wi-Fi and a solar power backup system, ensuring a sustainable and hassle-free living experience. Hot water is provided by solar energy, with an electric booster available when mains power is in use, ensuring comfort year-round, even on cloudy days.

For added convenience, the cottage comes with a dedicated housekeeper and gardener. While there is no full-time cook, a casual cook can be arranged at an additional cost to suit your needs. .

Urumwe Cottage sleeps up to 4 guests (including children) and can be taken alongside it’s sister, Utulivu Cottage (which has wheelchair access) to allow up to 8 guests across both cottages.
